What are the benefits of booking with regent pet care?

Dog walkers are dog walkers right? So what's so special about Regent Pet Care? Well, where do I start? We'd have to say that the main advantage of choosing us is that you'd get to meet our rescue dog Ollie (find him on Instagram @apprehensive.ollie) .

But if that's not enough, how about these three reasons instead...

Edinburgh Dog Sitting Priority Booking

First off, one big perk, and I mean huge, is priority booking of our very popular dog sitting service. We are limited in space and often book up months in advance. So believe me, getting priority will save you so much hassle when it comes time to go on that long deserved, pooch free, holiday.

 What Is Dog Sitting?

Cuddles during Dog Sitting for a regular client

Dog sitting or house sitting is when your animals are cared for in your own home, opposed to boarding facilities which are on someone elses premises. We are not limited to dogs either, we can care for most pets within your household.

Dog sitting has many benefits. For example, you can rest assured your home is safe and secure, plants watered and the fish fed. Another advantage is that a change of environment, routine and of primary carer can be really stressful for some dogs. Not all, but some. Especially those nervous rescues. So having a familiar face come to stay with them at home, have one to one attention and maintain their routines can make everything more enjoyable and relaxing. Leaving you to enjoy your trip worry free.

Experienced and Professional Carer

Another great benefit of being a Regent Pet Care client is knowing you have hired an experienced and qualified professional. Regent Pet Care has been running since 2016 but Laura’s experience of working with animals began in a professional manner back in 2009 when her degree in Zoology led her into primate care and conservation and then onto animal welfare science, ethics and law. Animals aren't just an interest, they are a way of life and a full time career.

Laura is experienced with rescue dogs, especially sighthounds, which can come with a myriad of behaviour problems. So even if your perfect pooch has a few 'quirks' you know we can handle it and we can help you find a great positive welfare trainer too, if you ever need one.

Laura is always working to improve her knowledge and skills. Right now, she is studying canine behaviour and is always keeping up to date with the latest in the world of  canine science.

Small Groups and a Small Business

The final benefit (although I could keep going) is that Regent Pet Care is a small, local business. We keep our group walks to only 4 dogs maximum and you'll only ever deal with Laura, meaning you can build a personal, tailored experience.

We keep our client base small too, meaning we are flexible. Flexible in schedule, in payment method and in approach. We, just like our dogs, are individuals and Regent Pet Care treat our clients as such.

If you'd like more information on any of our services or to chat about your needs, please give us a call now or drop us an email!
